Stan Lee dead at 95

Marvel legend Stan Lee, known as the co-creator of iconic superheroes like Spider-Man has died at 95 but we are all lucky enough to have at least one more Stan Lee cameo to look forward to, Avengers 4.

Lee, who began in the business in 1939 and created or co-created fictional characters including Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, amongst infinite other characters. He initiated a complexed approach to writing superheroes.

Following his retirement from Marvel, he remained a public figurehead for the company, and frequently made cameo appearances in movies based on Marvel characters. Meanwhile, he continued independent creative ventures into his 90s.

On July 6, 2017, his wife of 69 years, Joan, died of complications from a stroke. She was 95 years old.

The Stan Lee Foundation was founded in 2010 to centreing on literacy, education, and fine arts.

Stan Lee was born on December 28, 1922, in Manhattan, New York City.

Lee went to DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and in his youth Lee enjoyed writing and entertaining.

Lee died at the age of 95 in Los Angeles, California, on November 12, 2018. Long live Stan Lee… Excelsíor!
